Hales Passage Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery
Not far from Hales Passage on a quiet country road lies the Cromwell Cemetery. It is a fitting resting place for the Scandinavian fishermen, farmers and their families who first settled the Cromwell area.
The Cemetery Association was first formed on January 3, 1903 and was originally called the “Hales Passage Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery Association.”

Article I
The name of the Cemetery to be by this corporation shall be “Hales Passage Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery”.

The Cemetery hosts an annual work party to weed, clean the stones and mow the cemetery the Saturday prior to Memorial Day weekend. The work party is followed by a potluck lunch and annual meeting. It is a slice of Americana that is very special. Everyone is welcome!
Due to the Covid-19 Virus the annual meeting/potluck has been cancelled.The May 16 Clean-Up will still be scheduled for those who feel comfortable in doing so. Social distancing guidelines must be followed.

1. ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting will be held the Saturday before the Memorial Day weekend immediately after the work party. It will be in the Sears’s garage across the street from the cemetery if the Sears family agrees.
2. GATE ACCESS
